Business Assistance and Referral Service
ACCI is a not-for-profit member driven organisation that receives no external funding for its day-to-day operations. We are able to provide fully independent advice and assistance on a whole range of business activities and information.
ACCI provides an information and referral service for potential new business owners and can refer businesses on to private and Government agencies for assistance including business planning, recruitment and training, financial, taxation and legal advice, sales and marketing, occupational health and safety information, economic research and forecasts, business profiles and statistics, and strategic planning needs.
ACCI can put you in contact with a person or organisation to answer your business questions and can facilitate your access to all levels of government by helping to cut through the red tape.
Alliance with CCIWA
ACCI’s alliance with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia (CCIWA) provides access to an extensive suite of business services. ACCI can also facilitate improved access to all levels of local, State and Federal Government.
Representation and Lobbying
ACCI is the voice of its members; individually, as an industry group, or as a whole - and is represented on numerous committees to lobby, advocate and provide input into policy development and reviews.
Written submissions on issues affecting local businesses are presented to local, State and Federal Governments. Letters of support for tenders, grants and applications are also written for members and community organisations upon request.
Regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry WA
ACCI is a member of the Regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry WA, which provides an opportunity for Western Australia’s 32 member regional chambers to have a collective voice for its members and to more effectively lobby Government and other organisations on regional issues.
ACCI provides a referral service for advice on Industrial Relations and Human Resources issues such as: Awards, Australian Workplace Agreements, and discrimination, equal opportunity, and unfair dismissal claims.
ACCI produces a monthly hardcopy newsletter with a circulation of approximately 600 copies.
Members can distribute promotional flyers in the monthly newsletter at low cost.
Member Promos is a way for ACCI members to advertise to other members.
With an extensive email database, it's a great way to promote your business to the Albany and Great Southern business community.
Member Promos are sent out weekly on a Thursday.
Buy Local Campaign
ACCI is committed to promoting local businesses and encourages everyone to give local Albany and Great Southern businesses the first opportunity to quote for your business requirements. ACCI is committed to buying local wherever possible.
Business After Hours
A free monthly networking function hosted by a member business or organisation in a social atmosphere. These extremely popular functions provide a unique opportunity for those attending to promote their own business, to network and listen to updates on ACCI activities and local issues. Attendance at BAH averages 150 members and guests.
ACCI Business Forums
Regular business forums provide members with updates on government initiatives, business trends and current issues. Members are strongly encouraged to provide suggestions or requests for particular forums or training sessions.

Education: Schools / TAFE / UWA / Community Programs
ACCI supports education and training programs in the local community. ACCI proudly sponsors local school, TAFE and university student awards and graduation prizes.
International Travel and Trade Assistance
Members can be provided with letters of introduction to overseas Chambers of Commerce who can assist with business and social contacts for overseas trips. ACCI also assists visiting dignitaries and investors.

First published in 1980, the Directory has been designed as a user-friendly tool to connect Albany and the Great Southern business operators and residents with local suppliers of goods and services. It has grown to become one of the largest and most comprehensive directories of its kind in Western Australia.
